“The Soul of Nørrebro” shows how collaboration and design can encourage cities to preserve their natural surroundings. The danish project located in Copenhagen focusing on the area Nørrebro combines city nature, local community and smart cloudburst solutions, building upon Nørrebros existing qualities and unique local spirit.
Water will be one of our greatest future challenges. The project does for example show how combining climate adaptation and urban planning will give the Hans Tavsens Park a number of waste water pools for rainwater. The surplus water continues to the lakes of Copenhagen, which prevents flooding, while the water is cleansed through biotopes built along Korsgade.
The Client is the Municipality of Copenhagen and will be complete by 2023.
The collaborators are: Rambøll, Arki_Lab, Den Nationale Platform for Gadeidræt, Aydin Soei, Social Action.
